![]() ![]() I have no idea what weapons would be desirable. The ATF Kvasir is a good alternative there, as it's some 25 m/s faster than the Raven at the expense of only 6 GJ of shielding. If you're using it for MLCC duty it will work just fine, but if you're going to use it as a personal ship you might want to go with something a bit faster. The only real drawback is that it's slow. X rebirth save editor for v4.0 generator#With 8 GJ of shielding it's basically a flying tank, and with the third beefiest weapons generator of all M7s it can stay pretty long in a fight before running dry. If you don't mind a ship with turrets only, I say the Teladi Raven is a good choice. Speed, maneuverability and weapon energy/regen is kind of middle of the road, but you can take a decent amount of damage before you have to bug out. Personally I tend to avoid it simply because I think it's fugly as sin, but that's just me. The OTAS Auster is also a decent ship, and its main feature is probably the fact that it packs 7 GJ of shielding. This one packs only 4 GJ of shielding as well, which might or might not be an issue depending on your fighting style and pilot skills. Besides, if you want a capship killer you can equip it with two sets of weapons and use LU's weapon switching feature to switch between something like ISRs for fighter swatting and PPCs or IBLs for capship killing. It does have a somewhat weak weapons generator, but you can offset that by choosing lighter weapons. It's the third fastest M7, only beaten by a couple of M7 carriers, and it's a very decent ship. If speed is king, then the Argon Mandalay is probably among the better choices out there. ![]() It's slightly less maneuverable and has a slightly weaker weapons generator, but because Terran weapons appear to be more energy effective it doesn't affect you all that much. If you want more shielding then the ATF Aegir is a better option, with 5 GJ of shielding instead of 4 GJ. The only drawback is its relatively light shielding, weighing in at 4 GJ. ![]() My personal favorite is the Teladi Geochen, as it has eight main guns, good turret coverage, decent weapons generator and is the fourth fastest M7s out there. You got a few options, depending on what your preferred combat style is. My main problem right now is what I'll choose as an M7 cap-killer. I highly recommend doing some small scale testing with the Setanta, as most capship weapons are very energy hungry and will drain the ship's weapon capacitor in a few volleys.
